Level 3: Creating a Guild

There are many reasons to create a Guild. You can bring your community together in a popular fun and immersive web3 game. You can rally your community to complete tasks and compete against other guilds for access to rare resources and lands.

Guilds earn 5% of all Guild Shards sales, so the better a guild does, the more PIXEL they will earn. These earnings go into a Guilds Treasury.

Owning or renting NFT Farm land is essential to Guild success. NFT Farm lands will produce rare, higher tiered resources that will unlock your guild's ability to complete more task board tasks.

NFT Farm lands also gives your guild a better chance of winning the Contestable Lands and all the highest tier resources that come with it.

Head to the Pixels dashboard. You can also access this link from the purple button in the top right in-game. Click on the Guilds tab and then on Create a Guild

Here you can fill out the name of your Guild and a short description. The Guild handle will be visible in the URL and is also shown below your guild name. You cannot change this text later so make sure to double and triple check the spelling before continuing. Fill in the Guild’s Twitter handle to have a link to your Twitter Account.

Your Guild will receive a 5% fee from every shards sale. This fee will be sent to the address you input in this field. By default it is set to the wallet connected to your Pixels account, but you can change it to a different wallet, or even a multisig wallet for extra safety.

You can also add a Guild Emblem as a .png file. This is an image that will represent your Pixels Guild. Ensure that the image you provide does not use copyrighted material.

When you have filled out all of the relevant fields and are sure you’re happy, click on Create a Guild at the bottom and pay the fee.

Congratulations! Your Guild is now registered and people can add themselves to the request list. This gives you the ability to promote your guild, gauge interest and set a launch date to activate your Guild. You can do this by clicking on the button “Activate Guild”.

You will have to pay another fee, for this fee you will receive preminted shards in return. As a Guild owner you can transfer these shards to players of your choice.

You have the option to go with a Whitelist approach, where you can handpick players to be able to buy shards. Or leave it open, so that anyone can buy shards. You can toggle this on or off.

To complete this Superquest level you will need the magnifying glass you found in level 1 as well as the Pixels HQ Key you received from completing level 2.
