Level 3
Check Battle Rank
Step by step guide
In order to master Axie Infinity Origins, you will need to be able to identify your team's win condition. This will depend on which cards and runes you chose in the Level 2. A common win condition in Season 4 was using Topaz along with Square Teeth and Nimo. Nimo lets you banish a lot of cards quickly to power up Topaz, and the shield you just gained from Nimo gives you extra damage with Square Teeth.
When you have enough damage to kill an Axie, it is important to select which damage card to use carefully. Any surplus damage over the amount needed to kill the Axie will be wasted so if you have a smaller damage card that will get it done use that one first. This will allow you to use your higher damage cards on the remaining Axies. Be sure to keep any buffs and debuffs into account when calculating damage - it may not be exactly as it appears on the card.
It is important to keep track of your draw and discard piles and know when to retain a card. If you have spare energy it is sometimes wiser to use that energy to retain a card than to play it. As an example, if you have 3 cards in your draw pile with one energy remaining, you could use this energy to retain a card that is less useful to you. Since you can’t draw a full 5 cards from your draw pile, the game will reshuffle your discard pile to make up the difference. If you play the card, there is a small chance that you will draw that same card again on your next turn.
